Biographie of Gisela Hochuli

Short bio

Gisela Hochuli lives and works in Berne/Schalunen, Switzerland.

She studied Art at the “Zurich University of the Arts”. Since 2002 she has been showing her work at national and international festivals for Performance Art in Switzerland, China, Chile, Belgium, Germany, Egypt and France.

About my work

In my performances I usually improvise with the use of objects, themes and my body. Improvisation means that within a frame and a set of conditions I explore and develop whatever the moment, the object, the body, the space and the audience offers.

I am interested in objects as my partners in my performance.

I am interested in the diversity within the simplicity.

I am interested to shift daily perceptions.

I am interested in a subversive look behind things.

I am interested to perceive the moment.
